The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is a five-year STEM fellowship that includes three years of financial support. There is an annual stipend of up to $37,000 and a cost of allowance to the institution of up to $12,000. The fellowship is for graduate or undergraduate students pursuing a Masters or PhD. Apply if you are an undergraduate in your final year of study, recent graduate, or graduate student within your first 12 months of study. Deadlines vary based on the program (earliest deadline: 17 October 2022).
Milagros Rivera is a UC Santa Cruz Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate student and GRFP fellow. Milagros will discuss her experiences as an applicant and how to create a strong proposal.
